The Vendor / Offsite Quality Coordinator supports the Supply Network with Vendor Surveillance and Supplier Quality Coordination activities. The OSSQ Coordinators primary responsibility is the coordinate project specific Supplier Quality Plans to ensure that permanent materials and engineered equipment purchased meet or exceed our customer’s quality and workmanship expectations.


• Coordinate Project OSSQ Plans from conception through final fabrication with project management and engineering

• Have a working understanding of relevant manufacturing, fabrication, testing, and functionality of equipment procured for the projects

• Be able to read and understand equipment specifications, provide feedback in regards to recommended testing and inspections and be prepared to negotiate with suppliers on those recommendations

• Develop and monitor the Project Quality OSSQ work hours and cost Budget and forecast

• Report to management the project on production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems

• Communicate inspection results to project management, District Quality and engineering and assist with corrective actions and closing Findings

• Interface with expediting, engineering, Quality and the client to ensure requirements are resolved in a timely manner

• Have a thorough knowledge project Quality procedures, ISO Quality Management System, relevant documents and reporting structures

• Assist in Supplier pre-qualification by providing input on the suppliers quality program, experience, reputation and past performance/Lessons Learned

• Provide quality technical support to regarding contract and proposal quality requirements and implications

• Develop Inspection and Test Plans for suppliers and coordinate shop surveillance and inspections. Provide support to Districts and projects in overseeing supplier quality as needed

• Review supplier NCR’s and coordinate developing Supplier Corrective Actions plans. Coordinate with project quality managers to approve final disposition and sign off on SCAR’s

• Review and approve Supplier quality docs and ITP’s . Docs may include quality manuals, ITP’s, fabrication and testing procedures, etc.

• Provide input to KSN for supplier intelligence and selection. Conduct supplier audits as needed

• Review of Vendor documentation

• Perform field inspections

• Ensure lessons learned and best practices are captured and documented


• Bachelors Degree in the field of Engineering

• 6 years of project experience and 2 years of supplier quality experience

• A broad working knowledge of design and craft disciplines and plant equipment and materials associated with Energy and Infrastructure projects and must be familiar with their associated special processes, inspections, and testing techniques

• Must be familiar with Energy and Infrastructure Procurement and vendor surveillance/SQ procedures as well as a working knowledge of construction industry codes and standards (AWS, ASME, NEC)

• SAP PM / MM module experience is strongly preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel)

• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
