Project

Phase 2 will extend the Silver Line 11.4 miles west from the Wiehle-Reston East Station, through Washington Dulles International Airport and into Loudoun County, Va. Capital Rail Constructors will design and construct six stations and the supporting infrastructure necessary to power to the system. This is the largetst Infrastructure project in the nation, 41. miles is areal guideway and 7.2 miles of at grade. Five of the new stations — Herndon and Innovation Center to the east of Dulles Airport, and the Route 606, and Route 772 Ashburn stations to the west — will be built on ground level. At Dulles Airport, the team will construct an aerial station adjacent to Parking Garage 1. The station will be connected to the Main Terminal by an underground pedestrian walkway equipped with moving sidewalks.

Job Description

Must be able to assemble, disassemble and maintain various heavy equipment including cranes, drills, excavators and loaders. Additionally, the candidate should be prepared to address safety concerns, perform inpsections on equipment, troubleshoot/diagnose machine issues and test/adjust electrical and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

5 Years Experience required/10 years preferred on the Maintenance of Heavy Equipment (Lubrication, Preventive Maintenance, Repairs, Inspections)

Crane Maintenance Experience (Preferred)

Non-Structural Welding and Fabrication (Preferred)

Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely climb and access equipment

  • Lift and carrying heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds or more

  • Ability to wear a full body harness and work at heights while tied off

  • Willing to Work and have reliable Transportation

  • Ability to work, day, swing, and night shifts (sometimes long hours)

  • Must Pass Drug Test and complete Kiewit employee indoctrination

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Ability to work in safety sensitive construction zone, around large machinery and heavy equipment

  • Ability to work cooperatively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment

  • Must have a valid Driver's License
