Position Overview

This is a great opportunity to work in-house for one of the best construction and engineering companies in the world! We are not looking for an attorney or someone with litigation experience, rather a Contracts Specialist or Contracts Administrator with 5+ years of experience who is ready to grow with us. This position will own a process, not manage direct reports, and will serve as a key liaison between our clients, subcontractors and vendors.


  • Review and negotiate form and non-form commercial contracts and determine whether modifications are within company’s targeted risk profile

  • Manage contracts in an electronic database

  • Manage responses to contract markups from multiple sources - sort and coordinate final documentation

  • Manage databases of standard forms and update as needed

  • Support procurement with (I) project buy-out by overseeing procurement’s identification of mandatory and recommended prime contract flow-down clauses for incorporation into subcontracts; and (ii) negotiations with key subcontractors and vendors

  • Serve as key liaison between clients, subcontractors and vendors, external and internal clients to negotiate and resolve commercial issues and move contracts forward to execution

  • Prioritize work based on critical due dates, managerial demand and complexity of agreements

  • Communicate status for assigned contracts to legal leads and business leads so that they are aware of status and can take necessary actions

  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management


  • 5+ years of related transactional experience (prior in-house experience strongly preferred)

  • Excellent customer service and collaborations skills; with the ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization

  • Ability to coordinate with a variety of corporate departments and districts to assist in the delivery of proposals

  • Familiarity with construction industry, preferred

  • Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight

  • Ability to think innovatively to offer practical solutions for clients while achieving targeted risk profile
