Primary Responsibilities and duties
Perform welding work involving a high degree of precision
Weld various processes FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW
Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment
Make welding repairs and substandard welds
A high school diploma, or general education development (GED) diploma
3 – 5 years welding work-related experience and/or training is required.
Must preheat and weld metal components as specified by blue prints, welding symbols, job specifications, or welding procedures, must demonstrate proficiency in welding processes
Must pass a written and/or practical skills test
expected to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height and in confined spaces
Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
