A Kiewit subsidiary, Mass Electric Construction Company located in Waltham, MA is looking for a highly driven and self-directed Administrative Assistant. The individual must have the ability to work with limited direction and be extremely proactive.


• Maintaining records management database systems

• Performing basic bookkeeping duties

• Booking travel (hotels, car rentals, flights, etc.)

• Booking conference rooms and planning meeting logistics

• Assisting with event planning

• Coordination of meeting invites, agendas and logistics

• Attending meetings to record minutes

• Answering phone calls and directing calls to appropriate parties/taking messages

• Filing and retrieving corporate documents, records, and reports

• Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming correspondence

• Providing assistance with proof-readings documents; assembling project support material; and ordering/organizing office supplies

• Collaborating with managers on projects and process improvements


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in administrative role dealing with Sr. Leadership

• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience with SAP and SharePoint is preferred

• Strong organizational skills

• Able to multitask and prioritize assignments for two Sr. Leaders within the department

• Ability to handle work of a confidential nature

• Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the task at hand

• Ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with short notice

• Ability to work overtime as required
