UX Designer (TG Analyst)

The UX designer plays a lead role in the development of interactive initiatives and works to improve the overall user experience across a wide range of projects and devices. The UX designer will lead the User Experience through the various stages of the project including user flows, design strategy, site map creation, wireframing, usability, and final quality assurance testing. They will assist in mentoring their fellow colleagues about UX best practices. The UX designer must possess knowledge of user experience design principles and have experience solving problems to balance user needs, business expectations, technology parameters, project timelines and budgets in order to mitigate risks to the business.


• Leads creation of UX deliverables (site maps, user flows, personas, surveys, and research analysis report) based on business and strategic requirements that demonstrate great user experiences.

• Partners with Product Managers and Business Analysts to develop the strategy and experience solutions for a wide variety of projects.

• Lead cross-channel experience development including: emerging technologies, mobile devices, and web and desktop applications

• Conduct Design Labs with the Product team and provide tailored Design services to align on end-to-end business process mapping and product requirements/features

• Research and evaluate the features of new and existing projects and suggest improvements

• Conduct usability testing as an observer or moderator, which may involve travel

• Ensures all designs are in adherence to UX standards and behavior patterns.

• Stays abreast of emerging technology and design trends to share with the UX/UI team.

• Assists Product team with defining UX project success criteria based on minimal viable product, service blueprint and prototypes baseline

• Participates in design clarification, design reviews, and UX test planning discussions as needed

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to take site data and find insights and trends

• Creation of user/stakeholder interview questions and usability test scenarios and tasks as well as the analysis of answers through varying research methodologies

Required Qualifications:

• Highly motivated, self-directed, independent

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree Social Sciences/ Business / Visual Design will also consider candidates with background in user experience

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills

• 1 – 3 years’ user experience design with a focus on software, web applications, and mobile apps.

• 1 - 2 years’ experience with user interface design patterns and UCD methodologies across multiple platforms.

• Research experience within the UCD processes

• Ability to create wireframes, and/or other visual artifacts

• Excellent abilities in conceptualization, visualization, design & attention to details

• Knowledge of User Center Design process

• Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high quality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in implementation of enterprise products that satisfy construction related business needs

• Knowledge of design/prototyping tools Axure, Sketch, Adobe Suite, OmniGraffle, iRise and InVision or similar products

• Ability to create wireframes, and/or other visual artifacts

• Knowledge of Visio, SharePoint and Microsoft Suite

• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Visual Studios or other project management tools

• Experience with psychology, sociology, or anthropology research or professional research experience which has utilized multiple research methodologies

• Basic knowledge of various project management methodologies (waterfall, Agile, SCRUM)

• Possess an understanding of information technology project management best practices

• Product or business background


• 10% or less travel required
