Kiewit Business Services (KBS) is a cross-functional shared service organization that provides the business units with customer-specific services focused on cost and business value. Our services include non-core, yet essential, functions of our businesses including accounts payable, accounts receivable, change control, human capital management, payroll, project initiation, compliance and continuous improvement.
The Union Benefit Analyst position is part of the KBS Payroll Reporting department within the KBS Payroll Services area.
The Union Benefit Analyst is responsible for union benefit general ledger accounts and is the point of contact for audits, both internal and external. This individual will also collaborate with the Union Benefit Specialists on problem solving, implementing best practice and assist with payment issues and audits as needed.
Payroll Reporting Supervisor
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Research and resolve open general ledger postings to ensure items are cleared
Coordinate with Account Reconciliation team and Payroll Reporting Specialists to resolve open issues
Run US and Canada evaluated status report for specialists
Manage third party union benefit audits
Create ad hoc queries to fulfill internal and external requests
Complete payroll audits and maintain list of all audits and current status
Collaborate with legal department on payroll audits to verify protocol is being followed
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external departments; understands Kiewit’s core business and promotes a sense of urgency toward business critical issues
Collaborate with co-workers, internal and external Kiewit departments to promote continuous improvement
Assist in the preparation of union benefit payments, with auditing union benefit payments, supplemental payments and mailings, and with other department duties as needed
Manage assigned cases in Service Now

Working knowledge of computers and experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Minimum three years of general Accounting experience
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Travel as needed
Lifting, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, etc.
Reading from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources.
