The Canadian Resources District conducts its operations through Construction Kiewit Cie and Peter Kiewit Sons Co., subsidiaries of Kiewit Corporation. We perform work from Newfoundland to Manitoba to Quebec and in the Northwest Territories. We work in the power, mining, hydroelectric and wind power industries.
Responsibilities
Partnering with the Project Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing information relating to personnel. You will also identify HR needs, develop and maintain policies and procedures and create an overall strategic business alliance.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

o Providing support in Employee Relations, Compensation
o Participating in training and development programs, campus recruiting events, and other such activities as needed
o Staying up-to-date on the latest HR trends
o Maintain and create personnel records and files.
o Store, update and retrieve personnel related data.
o Process staffing and other personnel documents.
o Manage personnel information database.
o Prepare and send out evaluations.
o Prepare and facilitate new hire orientations.
Qualifications
o An undergraduate degree or HR certification
o 7 years experience minimum
o The ability to work in a fast-paced engineering and construction environment
o Competent with Microsoft Office programs as well as being efficient in a large HRIS
o Knowledge of employment law
o Team player with an interest in other areas of Human Resources
